3. Main application / Special features of EN AW – 6061:
Application for parts in aviation and in the USA instead of EN AW-6082. Especially in the USA also used for pressure vessels. This material is also selected for moulded and deep-drawn parts. The general properties largely correspond to the material EN AW-6082; only the resistance can become somewhat worse in the upper range of the permissible Cu content.
