3. Main application / Special features of EN AW-6012:
This alloy is used in the broadest sense for parts in mechanical engineering. It is a cold- and hot-hardened free-cutting alloy (drilling and turning quality) of medium strength with chip-breaking additives (Pb + Bi), which enable trouble-free chip removal even at high chip rates.
