3. main application / special features of EN AW-2024:
A resilient material with increased strength values that is mainly used in the aerospace industry. Used at elevated operating temperatures above 120 ° to 180 ° C. As usually only cold-hardened (T351) is used, problems can arise with greater thicknesses due to residual stress. Especially with asymmetrical machining.
